3rd Annual Pittsburgh Pride Theater Festival
Take Someone Special to the 3rd Annual Pittsburgh Pride Theater Festival
“Take someone special to the third annual Pittsburgh Pride Theater Festival,” say the committee members of this year’s event. For the third straight year, the committee is producing a showcase of plays that are anything but straight. On behalf of the Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre Co., this year’s committee announces a showcase of eight one-act plays on GLBT themes by local playwrights, running June 15-25, 2006. The festival will be performed at the theater located at 542 Penn Avenue, in the Pittsburgh Cultural District downtown (the entrance is between Starbucks Coffee and Subway). Tickets for each show time are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. To reserve advanced tickets, call the Box Office at (412) 288-0358.
The plays will be performed in two alternating sets, Thursday through Saturday at 8:00pm, Sunday at 7:00pm and Matinees on Saturday at 4:00pm and Sunday at 3:00pm.
The festival is supported by a grant from the Lambda Foundation of Pittsburgh.
